Report Overview:
The report will be both a research report about the facts of the animal and a persuasive essay about why your animal should be a national animal. It will be in three parts: Google Slides, a poster/infographic, and a sculpture.
The first thing you need to do is decide which animal you would like to research and fill out this form. Once it has been approved, you will get your resource packet (in Google Classroom) and begin doing your research.

Your job is to create a presentation integrating the facts about your animal and your rationale as to why your chosen animal is best suited to be a national symbol. Your presentation should be a good combination of text and visuals (maps, photos, charts, etc.)
*Use your notes from the resource packets to help you create your paragraphs. The facts should remain facts. Your opinion as to why your animal should be a national symbol should be based on those facts.
*To make a copy of this slide deck, open it in Canva by clicking on the link, then on the bottom left, click on the Upload icon and copy the presentation. It then should be in your Canva account. Once you click on it, then you can make a copy.

Create an infographic poster of your animal, persuading the “audience” to choose your animal as the national symbol. You may use digital resources (Canva), draw, create a collage of photos, or a combination of those to create your poster.
